IKARIERA AND OTHER IAESTE JOB-FAIRS

iKariéra fair and other IAESTE career fairs represent the simple way of mediating contact between companies and students or graduates of mainly technical and economic universities in the Czech Republic. The objective of the event is to acquaint students with the requirements and demands of companies and, from the companies’ perspective, to open new opportunities for contact with students as their prospective employees. For over ten years since they were established, the fairs have gained an excellent reputation among participanting companies and students and they enjoy considerable popularity.

Job-fairs take place predominantly on academic grounds and in 2009, the event was attended by over 25 000 students in total.

The participating companies present themselves at the stands, where are held individual talks between candidates and the HR representative of the company. Target of our job-fair is not organizing interviews but it is mainly intended to manage first contact and information exchange, what commonly later leads after selection to interview in the company.

The printed job-fair guide helps visitors with orientation at the job-fair and is also valuable for students after the job-fair because it contains the complete information of the participating companies and also advertisements of those companies which are indirectly participating.

The participating companies may use the opportunity to address visitors by means of other printed materials which will be inserted into the package-bag distributed to all visitors for free or by having a short informative presentation in the lectures hall in the university buildings for selected companies.

HOW CAN YOU PARTICIPATE?

If you would like to express an interest in any of the IAESTE projects please contact the local committee. If you are interested in more events or you would like to contribute to the development of our activities then we recommend you to ask for a National Contract. The National Contract enables companies to make just one agreement with IAESTE Czech Republic that will allow them to be included within the majority of projects and thus minimize the necessary clerical work. In addition the National Contract opens up the possibility to support IAESTE through several types of partnerships.
